Morning Vietnam is an inbound tour operator designed for travelers who want to experience Vietnam beyond the surface — through local immersion, nature, and team-based adventures. We are operated by Vietnam Rise Co., Ltd, a legally registered company under Vietnamese law.

When this policy refers to "Morning Vietnam," "we," "us," or "our," it means Vietnam Rise Co., Ltd and the Morning Vietnam brand.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

We collect personal data through three channels: our website (morningvietnam.co), our inquiry and booking forms, and direct communication (email, WhatsApp, social media DM).

Information you provide to us

  • Full name, nationality, date of birth
  • Email address, phone number (including WhatsApp)
  • Passport number and expiry date (required for tour logistics and accommodation check-in under Vietnamese law)
  • Travel dates, number of travelers, group composition
  • Dietary requirements, fitness level, health conditions relevant to participation in active tours
  • Payment information (bank transfer records; we do not store credit card numbers)
  • Emergency contact details

Information we collect automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type
  • Pages visited, time on site, referral source
  • Cookie data (see Section 7)

Information from third parties

If you book through an OTA or travel agent, they may share your booking details with us to fulfill the tour.

3. Why We Collect Your Data

We only collect data we genuinely need. Here is what we use your data for and the legal basis under Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 91/2025/QH15):

4. How We Share Your Data

We share your data only where necessary to deliver your tour. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may share your data with:

  • Local operational partners — homestay hosts, local guides, transport providers who need your name, group size, dietary needs, and arrival details to deliver the service. All partners are vetted by Morning Vietnam and operate under confidentiality expectations.
  • Accommodation providers — Vietnamese law requires guests' passport details to be registered with local authorities. We will share this data as legally required.
  • Payment processors — bank transfer records may be retained by our bank under financial regulations.
  • Government or legal authorities — only when legally required (e.g., in the event of an emergency or legal proceeding).
  • Travel agents or OTAs — if you booked through a third party, we may communicate booking updates with them.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. International Data Transfers

Morning Vietnam serves travelers from across the world. If you are based in the EU, UK, Australia, or any country with data protection laws, please note:

  • Your data is processed primarily in Vietnam.
  • When you submit a booking inquiry, you are transferring your data to Vietnam.
  • We take reasonable steps to protect your data in line with the standards required by your home country's regulations, including the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 91/2025/QH15, effective 1 January 2026).

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to function properly and to understand how visitors use our site.

  • Deletion — request that we delete your data, where we are not legally required to keep it
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest (including marketing)
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, for any processing based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at good@morningvietnam.co with the subject line "Data Request." We will verify your identity before processing the request.

If you are an EU/UK resident and believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Data Security

We use the following measures to protect your data:

  • All email communication is encrypted in transit (TLS)
  • Booking data is stored in password-protected systems with access limited to team members who need it
  • Passport data is shared only via secure channels (not via public social media DM)
  • We do not store full credit card numbers

We cannot guarantee 100% security of data transmitted over the internet. If you have concerns about sharing sensitive information, please contact us to discuss alternatives.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware, in compliance with Vietnam's PDPL (Law No. 91/2025/QH15).

10. Children's Privacy

Our tours are designed for adults (18+) unless specified as a private group booking. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without verifiable parental consent. If a child is part of a group booking, the accompanying adult is responsible for providing consent on their behalf.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may notify active clients by email.
